6. How to make a request
- Complete Form 2 (Request for access to a record), which is available on the Information Regulator's website or from us.
- Send it to our Information Officer at privacy@inferenceworks.co.za or deliver it to our physical address. Give enough detail for us to identify the record, and say which right you want to exercise or protect and why the record is needed for it.
- If you ask for records that are not about you, a request fee and an access fee may apply, at the amounts set in the PAIA regulations. We will tell you in writing if any fee is payable. There is no request fee if you are asking for your own personal information.
- We will decide on your request within 30 days. We may extend this once by up to 30 days, as PAIA allows, and will tell you if we do.
We may refuse access only on the grounds set out in Chapter 4 of Part 3 of PAIA, for example to protect someone else's privacy or confidential commercial information. If we refuse, we will give reasons. You may then complain to the Information Regulator, or apply to court within 180 days.
7. Personal information we process
Our privacy notice sets out the purposes for which we process personal information, the people it relates to (website visitors, people who contact us, clients and suppliers), who receives it, when it may be sent outside South Africa, and how we protect it.
8. Availability of this manual
This manual is published on our website and is available free of charge at our physical address or by email on request. We review it whenever our records or contact details change.
